Tottenham Hotspur have been given the chance to prove their worth in the Premier League this season after a tough defeat against Brentford at Wembley on Saturday.
The game was a mixed result, with Tottenham holding a two-goal lead at half-time but fell behind late on and were unable to find a way back into the match.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino has faced some criticism for his team's performance, especially in terms of defensive play and tackling, as well as the lack of goals scored by key players like Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.
However, the manager remains confident that Tottenham can bounce back from their disappointing loss and is looking forward to facing Manchester City in the next round of fixtures.
"I am really pleased with how we played," said Pochettino. "We showed some good qualities and we defended well. I'm really proud of the squad that we've got."
Despite the defeat, Spurs remain one point ahead of Arsenal in the table, with a home match against Liverpool due to be announced soon. The manager is hopeful that he can use the win to continue his improvement and secure a place in the Champions League next season.
"It's not about winning or losing, it's about improving," he added. "I know we're not going to go down without a fight. We'll try our best to do that."
